While the OEM intake system may have an unconventional look and a design that seems a bit cramped, it actually performs quite well. Given the space constraints, a complete redesign wasn't practical at an accessible price point. Instead, we opted for a straightforward approach: enhancing airflow where it was restricted—right at the filters. By swapping out the stock paper filters for Dinan's multi-layered cotton filters, you can enjoy nearly a 20% increase in flow, along with some noticeable power gains in the mid and upper RPM range. Although the performance was impressive, the engine bay still lacked that visual flair.

That's when our beautiful carbon fiber engine cover came to life. This remarkable piece, crafted with intricate detail and coated with UV protection, maintains the same footprint as the factory cover but elegantly flares out at the sides. This design cleverly conceals some of the less attractive stainless-steel hardware that’s visible in the stock setup. To keep the engine bay looking neat and tidy, we eliminated distracting mounting hardware. Instead, we used powerful rare earth magnets, making installation a breeze and resulting in a clean, polished look.

When you combine the high-flow filters with the carbon fiber engine cover, you get the complete X3M/X4M intake system—though we know the term "intake" might feel a bit broad. This duo offers fantastic value, but if you're only interested in the increased airflow or the striking visual appeal, each component is available separately. There’s something for everyone!
