Can you believe it's been 20 years since the world's first dual outlet blow-off valve made its debut? Let's take a trip back to 1998—a time before Justin Bieber, Y2K, and even Google. Our founding engineer, John Adrian, was tired of his new WRX stalling due to an atmosphere-venting BOV. He thought, "Why live in a world without a dual port BOV?" And just like that, the Hybrid was born!

A Game-Changer in the Turbo World

Known affectionately as the "Hybrid," this groundbreaking product quickly became the flagship model for Go Fast Bits. What made it so special? The two venting ports were cleverly designed so that the recirc port opened before the atmo port. This smart staging helped prevent backfiring and stalling in cars with a MAF sensor, all while delivering that iconic blow-off sound when you really put the pedal to the metal.

Legacy and Evolution

The success of the Hybrid was nothing short of remarkable. Its innovative technology has been adopted by nearly every other BOV brand out there. The Hybrid also paved the way for GFB's next big breakthroughs: the venting bias adjustable BOV, known as the Respons TMS, and the electronically adjustable version, the Deceptor Pro.

While the spotlight has shifted to these newer models, the Hybrid has been missed in the market. To celebrate its 20-year anniversary, GFB is thrilled to reintroduce this iconic product! As a special birthday gift, the importance of the dual-port venting system was recognized among 3,000 entries by a panel of international judges, earning a Global Media Award at the 2017 SEMA show.

The new Hybrid retains the same staged venting outlets as the original but now offers the flexibility to configure for full recirc, full atmosphere, or a 50/50 venting option.
