Can you believe it’s been 20 years since the world first saw a dual outlet blow-off valve? Let’s take a little trip back to 1998—before Justin Bieber was a household name, before Y2K fears gripped us, and even before Google became our go-to search engine. That’s when GFB's founding engineer, John Adrian, faced a frustrating dilemma with his new WRX. Tired of the stalling caused by an atmosphere-venting BOV, he decided he couldn't live without a dual port BOV any longer. And just like that, the Hybrid was born!

A Game-Changer in the Turbo World

This groundbreaking valve quickly became the flagship model for Go Fast Bits. With its clever design featuring two venting ports, the recirc port opens before the atmo port. This design helps prevent backfiring and stalling on vehicles with a MAF sensor while still delivering that iconic blow-off sound when you really push your car.

Legacy of Excellence

The success of the Hybrid inspired other brands to adopt this innovative technology. It paved the way for GFB's next big breakthrough: the venting bias adjustable BOV, now known as the Respons TMS, followed by the electronically adjustable Deceptor Pro.

Welcome Back, Hybrid!

While the spotlight has been on newer models, we’re thrilled to announce that the Hybrid is making a comeback! In honor of its 20th anniversary, GFB is reintroducing this influential BOV, which has shaped the turbo world like no other.

A Special Recognition

As a cherry on top, the importance of the dual-port venting system was recognized at the 2017 SEMA show, where the new Hybrid valve earned a Global Media Award from a panel of international judges, standing out among 3,000 entries!

Features of the New Hybrid

The new Hybrid retains the same staged venting outlets as the original but now offers the flexibility to configure for full recirc, full atmosphere, or a 50/50 venting option. Plus, it comes with a wide range of direct bolt-on kits for popular vehicles, making it an affordable way to enjoy all the benefits of dual port venting.
