This means we maintain the factory ECU control and solenoid to guarantee the quickest response time, without the unnecessary expense of replacing the solenoid—unlike some other brands.
The weak link in the factory diverter has always been the plastic valve mechanism, and that’s exactly what we replace. The VTA features CNC machined billet components that are designed to last a lifetime. We’ve also revamped the valve operation method for enhanced performance. Unlike the factory diverter valve, which operates in just two states (open or closed), our design allows for a more progressive opening and closing, smoothing out boost transitions and minimizing lag.
GFB was the first to introduce pilot operation in the DV+, which cleverly repurposes the factory solenoid to manage the pressure behind the piston instead of the piston itself. This innovation reduces the solenoid stroke, speeding up response times and boosting actuation force. The result? A piston that opens and closes smoothly in response to varying boost pressure, significantly reducing the lag typically associated with factory diverter valves.
