Get your Nissan 400Z cranking out more horsepower and torque with The Racechip GTS Black Tuning Box Kit. This tuning box kit plugs into the factory boost and manifold pressure sensors to give you a huge gain in power over stock. Even better... These are warranty safe! The plugs are designed to be a direct OEM connection that goes in between the factory connectors. This allows for easy installation and removal as necessary. No cutting or splicing wires like those other piggybacks. Performance is increased by changing the signal of those factory sensors to help deliver more boost pressure. The ECU will automatically adjust for fuel and timing. With 7 different modes, you can run on easy street or whip your friends butt depending on the level of octane in your vehicle. Of course while they lose their warranty from an ECU Flash or cutting into wires, you just unplug and keep getting that Nissan service done. The kit can be controlled by our bluetooth app or you can manually change it with the buttons located on the box itself. Having logged thousands of miles on the Z for road and track use, this is the number 1 modification you need to get for your Nissan Z.
The Nissan Z R&D was done here in Arizona using our Mustang All Wheel Drive dyno. The Mustang dyno replicates as close to a rolling road as possible compared to other dynomometer. Also known as the "heart breaker", we typically see a drivetrain loss of 15-20% depending on vehicle and whether we are running the car in 2wd or 4wd. The 400Z was running a full tank of 91 octane on a cool 65F weather day. After dialing in the tuning box kit, we made a very impressive 396 rear wheel horsepower and 488 ft/lbs of torque. You can see at 4100rpm we deliver a neck breaking increase of about 100 rear wheel horsepower and nearly 120 ft/lbs of torque. All of this while running the stock restrictive exhaust system and intakes. That is some serious plug and play horsepower!
This kit will also work on the Nissan Z Nismo edition. However this vehicle already has increased horsepower stock over the standard Z so gains are only about 30hp.

With manufactures trying to increase fuel economy by adding forced induction to vehicles that previously had large displacement engines, the ability to tune them further is even more prevalent now. However there are 2 main issues with tuning these newer vehicles. The manufactures have gotten very particular about having their ECUs accessed to be tuned. These "anti tuning" features make it hard to read and write the ECU via the OBDII port. Some ECUs can be removed and flashed on the bench once the case is open. This is an immediate flag to the dealer which ultimately will void your power train warranty if a situation arose. This is where the Racechip Tuning Box Kits come into play over the competition.
Engineered for boosted cars, these vehicle specific plug and play kits are designed to easily be installed and uninstalled as needed. The harnesses feature OEM plugs that attach to necessary sensors where the pre-mapped tuning box gives your vehicle huge amount of performance gains. Unlike other "piggyback" solutions, these use high quality connections, wires, and casing that are designed to be engine mounted for longevity to the elements.
Each Tuning Box Kit has been engineered and tested to work in even the most extreme environments of altitude, temperature, and driving conditions. If you have any questions in regards to the Racechip Tuning Box Kit for the Nissan Z, please contact one of our Performance Specialists.
