How It Works

The surge tank acts as a buffer, ensuring that the pump always has a steady supply of fuel. It works in harmony with your main fuel tank's pump and the fuel returning from the fuel pressure regulator. Any excess fuel in the surge tank is sent back to the main tank, keeping everything in balance.

Crafted from extruded and machined 6061 aluminum, this 1.5-liter canister is built to last. The stainless electrical studs are designed to handle high current demands that you won't find in compact multi-pin bulkhead connectors. Plus, all connections are hermetically sealed, making them resistant to both standard and exotic fuels. Non-conductive anodized aluminum acorn nuts help prevent accidental short circuits, and the in-tank wiring is insulated with high-quality, chemically resistant ETFE. For optimal performance, we recommend using relay kits like the 17-0031 to drive your new internal fuel pump.
